2. The Burry Man
During the Ferry Fair in South Queensferry (which takes place in
August), the Burry Man dressed in a suit of burrs lumbers around
the town, obliged to drink whisky at all stops. This piece
pictures what might happen if too much whisky is
consumed……..

3. Queen Margaret
Queen Margaret (d. 1093) also known as
Saint Margaret, is the “queen” referred to in the names of both
North and South Queensferry.
Margaret did
charitable works, serving orphans and the poor every day before
she ate, and washing the feet of the poor in imitation of Christ.
